    Homes Fit for Ageing 2016

17-18 October 2016, Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel

    About the Conference
As a nation we are undergoing a slow but seismic shift in population – with 18% of our population aged 65 or over, we are getting older! This reflects some positive trends – medical advances mean people can expect to live longer, fuller lives – but demographic change brings challenges as well.

As a sector, we must work together to provide housing choices for older people that enable us to continue to be part of our communities and support us to remain independent and engaged for as long as we can.

This conference, hosted by CIH in conjunction with Care and Repair England, sets out to explore new ways of thinking and working to provide quality housing across all tenures that can support our health and wellbeing as we age. We will come together to discuss existing and alternative funding streams, examine the line between care and support, and hear from leading authorities on the integration of health and housing.

A must attend for those involved in providing housing, care and support services for older people, Homes Fit for Ageing 2016 will bring the sector together to share views and exchange good practice in this challenging political climate. Balancing practical advice with strategic knowledge, this conference combines keynotes, interactive master classes and lively panel debates to cement this conference as an increasingly participatory event that will challenge and encourage delegates to bring the focus back to what really matters - providing good quality housing and services to older people.
