Rethinking repairs Manchester 2017

18 January 2017

About the event

Repairs and maintenance has never been so high up on the agenda and the need to rethink how we go about delivering repairs services has never been greater. The business imperative is to make sure that all repairs work adds value to the asset and goes beyond being just an important service for tenants and CIH’s annual Rethinking Repairs Seminar is here to help.

In the face of all the challenges, our sector is showing great resilience and we’re seeing a real appetite from asset and repairs managers across the country to rise to the occasion. Sometimes this means throwing out the old rule book and reinventing how we do things, other times it’s more about adjusting how things are done. But the overall challenge is to realise greater efficiency savings, to deliver more effective stock investment and to enhance stock value.

So at CIH Events, we’ve put together a packed programme full of the very latest thinking in repairs and maintenance with our aim being to inform, enthuse and inspire delegates to make the change that’s needed in repairs and maintenance delivery.

Programme highlights include:

• New thinking on the use of data and KPIs - examining the case for moving to a new set of repairs KPIs that go beyond measuring just the standard of service with a new focus on asset investment secured

• ‘Planned on Demand’ – redesigning the approach to major elemental renewal

• Rethinking our IT approaches - realising our ambitions on the use of IT in delivering repairs and maintenance

• Reshaping the repairs offer – tools and techniques for redefining your service and articulating this to tenants
