About the event

CIH is delighted to host this conference in collaboration with the Department of Housing, Planning, Communities and Local Government.

This event will examine the key factors influencing rental market behaviour and compare the role of voluntary sector housing bodies across different jurisdictions.

The overall objective is to balance the interests of landlords and tenants, in order to create a viable and effective rental sector.

Confirmed speakers

  • JOHN LEAHY, Director
  • TERRIE ALAFAT, Chief executive, Chartered Institute of Housing
  • ANNA EVANS, Director, Indigo House Group
  • CATHERINE FEELY, Advice services manager, Housing Rights
  • TREVOR WRIGHT, Learning officer, Chartered Institute of Housing Northern Ireland

Who is it for

Making the rental sector work will bring together delegates from local authorities, housing associations, landlords, tenants and the voluntary sector, that are interested in influencing policy and implementing strategies to improve the rental sector.

Through an agenda of expert speakers, sharing the very latest thinking, delegates will gain a greater understanding of the impacts of the rental market and how these issues can be addressed.

We are looking forward to sharing knowledge from local and international best practice to work together to make the rental sector fully functional.
