Mentoring

Why join the CIH mentoring scheme?

Working with a mentor can help you to make plans for your future, develop new skills and seek out new experiences and to progress in your career as well as providing a confidential and safe environment in which to explore your career options. But what should you expect from a mentoring relationship and how do you get the most out of it? Sign up to our webinar on 29 November to find out more.

What's in it for mentors?

Becoming a CIH mentor gives you the opportunity to support a fellow housing professional in their development - and many of our mentors find they learn just as much from their mentees. It can also count towards your continuing professional development and form part of the ‘significant contribution to the housing sector’ if you are aiming to become a CIH fellow.

You'll need to be a CIH chartered member or fellow - if you feel that you have the skills, experience and time to commit to being a mentor there are a number of tools available in our CiZone for you to understand how the scheme works before signing up.

We’re always looking for new mentors - find out how many mentors are in your region today.
