Reducing disrepair claims and Fitness for Human Habitation Act 2018: practice and implementation during challenging times


During these uncertain times, keeping abreast of changes to housing law can be difficult, let alone looking at the implications of the Fitness for Human Habitation Act. Despite the current challenges, it is critical that we remain compliant with housing law and understand the key emerging trends across the sector and the impact that they could have on our organisations.

This online training will provide comprehensive coverage to enhance your understanding on dealing with repairs during the pandemic but also on disrepair claims and complying with the Fitness for Human Habitation Act which came into force in March 2020. Not only will we provide an extensive overview to develop your understanding we will also support you in applying this knowledge to real life, practical implementation.

Trainer Info

Aisha Akhtar a senior solicitor working for a G15 Housing Association who has over 13 years’ experience of working on all matters relating to Housing. She is a regular trainer for CIH and provides an interactive teaching style to get delegates involved. Her first-hand experience will help facilitate this training through shared learning and best practice, as well as extensive expertise across all housing law.
