Mediation and Conflict resolution

In this online training we will explore what can go wrong in our communications, and how these challenges can sometimes lead to conflict. Learn what to do next and develop your understanding of meditation to help resolve these challenges.

Learning Outcomes

The learning outcomes for each of the 3 segments are as follows;

•    When communications go wrong - sometimes, even with our best intention’s communications can break down, in this segment we will explore the causes and the stages that can lead us into conflict
•    Conflict and mediation - if conflict occurs there are a number of steps we can take at each stage of conflict; these will often depend on the type of person we are dealing with. Care must be taken to gain insight into the person so we can adapt our approach accordingly. Sometimes conflict is inevitable and mediation or at least the approach of a mediator must be taken
•    Resolution - if we get to stage three conflict before resolution and we end in mediation we must ensure clarity is gained so that all participants understand their position and knows what needs to be done next. If this clarity and understanding can be maintained for a period of time, we will have achieved resolution and can move into the positive communications and relationship stage

Who should attend

This online training is aimed at anyone who wants to develop their skills and understanding when it comes to mediation and conflict resolution. If you find yourself having to deliver difficult messages and deal with conflict, then this course is suitable for you.

Those who deal with challenging customer or colleague interactions will find this particularly useful. For example, HR professionals seeking to avoid prolonged grievance proceedings would benefit from the mediation and resolution skills outlined above.
