Addressing dampness and rot and their health implications
DescriptionAs more and more staff become generic, there is a need for training in technical repair issues. This course is intended to help you cope with the complicated issues of dampness, condensation and rot, their diagnosis and treatment.
By the end of this course you will:
• Define the different types of dampness
• Identify and diagnose the problems
• Recognise the health issues involved
• Identify the differing types of rot, their diagnosis and treatment
Who should attendAnyone involved in the repairs process especially those with responsibility for delivering a quality service e.g. housing officers, senior housing officers, estate managers, property inspectors etc.
Trainer InfoEileen McCallum started working in housing in 1979 and has wide experience both at the grassroots level and as a manager. She has worked as a trainer for the last 21 years, developing and delivering training throughout the UK. She has worked with all levels of staff, co-operatives, tenants and committee members on topics ranging from highly technical repairs issues to personal development and communication skills. She is appreciated for her lively, engaging and highly participative style.
