Blended learning CIH Level 4 certificate in housing - Wales

The Level 4 certificate in Housing enables you to be an effective housing practitioner and will provide you with a deeper understanding of how your organisation and others in the housing industry work.
It will cover six key areas:
Financing for housing: Exploring impact of finace policy, income and expenditure and approaches to budgeting and forecasting
Housing law: Looking at the legal framework, key legislation and the application of law
Housing policy: Exploring the impact of housing policy on practice, the historical development of hosing policy and the policy process.
Professional practice skills for housing: The concepts of being a member of a profession, the skills required to be a housing professional, assessing your own professional performance and managing your own development,
Housing management services: Exploring the basis of the provision of houisng services, key management functions and how individual access housing.
Managing people and change: Understanding human resource functions available, the principles of team management and how to manage change.
Delivered through a blended learning approcah. Learners will required to attend six face-to-face teaching days, plus an induction day as part of this course, which are delivered by a CIH tutor. This is combined with access to e-learning materials and the ongoing support of your tutor.

Who can apply?
To join the programme you should, as a minimum requirement, have completed one of the following:
- CIH Level 3 certificate in housing practice
- An equivalent level 3 or above qualification
If you don’t meet this minimum requirement but have relevant experience working in the housing sector, your application may also be considered. You will be asked to provide evidence of your qualifications and/or your experience of working in the housing sector as part of the application process.

Duration: 12 months, approximately 6 - 8 hours study a week.
