CIH Scotland: Policy and practice officer (maternity cover)

Based Edinburgh (with occasional travel) 35 hours per week

Salary £26,811

We are looking for a (maternity cover) policy and practice officer to support the development of evidence based policy and excellent practice on behalf of CIH in Scotland. This will post holder will be expected to undertake policy and practice research, write copy for our website, liaise with the media, support communication and  engagement with our members and work closely with the board and staff team.

We are looking for someone with experience and understanding of the housing sector and secondments would be considered.

In the first instance, this appointment will be for six months with a possible extension.

The post will initially be based at home but access to an office in central Edinburgh may become available later in the year depending on continuing Coronavirus restrictions. You may be expected to occasionally travel throughout Scotland and the wider UK if travel restrictions are lifted and if safe to do so.
