About the qualification
The objective of this qualification is to provide learners with an understanding of residential scrutiny of their hosing providers.
The qualification aims to:
- enhance the skills of active residents to enable them to participate fully in the development, management and assessment of housing services for communities
- prepare learners for employment and further study in housing related qualifications at level 3 and 4.

This qualification aims to enhance your skills of active residents to enable them to participate fully in the development, management and assessment of housing services for communities.
This qualification focuses on the following topics:
- Resident participation in the housing service
- Resident participation in performance management
You must achieve both mandatory units in order to achieve this qualification
Who can apply to study for this qualification?
You can enrol onto this qualification if you:
- are a resident or tenant actively involved in local housing organisation or community
- are a resident or tenant specifically involved in the scrutiny process
- are working in housing with a particular interest in resident scrutiny
- are aged 19+
