Reaching net zero will require housing providers to change how they operate and how they manage their homes. Boards and senior leaders have a pivotal role in driving these changes across their organisations, and need to embrace their role.
Housing providers across the UK are committed to stopping their contribution to global warming and meeting their net zero targets. Accomplishing this will require changes across entire organisations, and all housing professionals have a role to play in the transition to a sustainable future.
Boards and senior leaders have a pivotal role in driving these changes, and need to consider how they can embed the culture and values of sustainability across their operations. This is not just decarbonising our homes – important as that is – but thinking about the carbon generated by our estates and supply chains, as well as the ways we work.
This session will help board members and senior leaders understand the importance of transforming housing providers into sustainable organisations, and showcase practical examples of how it can be done.
