- Set out the aims and priorities of CIH, as the home of professionalism, in providing housing professionals and their organisations with the advice, support, and knowledge they need
- Galvanise support for Jill’s presidential campaign
- Raise funds for Action for Children, Jill’s chosen presidential charity

CIH is a registered charity, with education at the core of our charitable status. Our purpose is to promote the science and art of housing, its standards and ideals and the training and education of housing professionals. This is set out in our Royal Charter and Bylaws.
The Presidential Address provides the opportunity for us to share the work we are undertaking with the sector along with our plans for the future.
