Family homelessness has profound implications for lifetime outcomes. How can housing intervene?

Pathways out of homelessness are a lottery of which services a person can access, where they are located, and the professionals they encounter. How can the system change to improve outcomes for all?

The number of families experiencing homelessness is rising. From rapidly increasing numbers in temporary accommodation (TA) to those hidden from the statistics, hundreds of thousands of people in the UK are stuck without a place to call home.

  • What barriers are preventing families from moving on from homelessness?
  • What interventions are housing providers doing now?
  • What else needs to change?
