Better Social Housing Review - one year on

Hear from the Regulator for Social Housing, National Housing Federation and Chartered Institute of Housing about changes to how we manage the quality of our homes and customer service.

December 2023 marks one year on from the publication of the Better Social Housing Review, the independent commission from the NHF and CIH into the condition of social homes.

Since then, the NHF and CIH have published a joint action-plan which sets out what they’ll do to support housing associations implement the recommendations in the Better Social Housing Review. This explains how organisations need to tackle structural inequalities such as racism to resolve issues of quality and overcome barriers to good customer service.

The government’s Social Housing Regulation Bill has also become law, bringing with it changes such as new Consumer Standards, Tenant Satisfaction Measures, and new Professional Standards.

Hear updates from the Regulator, NHF and CIH and gain an understanding of how implementing the Better Social Housing Review recommendations can prepare you for the new regulation.
