Come together with Grand Union Housing Group, CIH and Trussell Trust to explore the impact of welfare reform and the changes needed to ensure people receive appropriate support.
More than a decade on from welfare reform, a large number of basic issues have still not been addressed.
In this virtual event, we’ll look at the changes needed, based on the principles of adequacy, accessibility, fairness, flexibility and collaboration.
You’ll hear from chief executive Aileen Evans from Grand Union Housing Group who led on the recent report ‘Investing in the future - Reforming the UK’s welfare system’, Sam Lister, CIH policy team’s welfare lead and Helen Barnard, director of policy, research & impact at The Trussell Trust.
The session will provide space to ask questions and share your experience, and for us to explore how we can work together to influence policy development.
It’s a great opportunity to think about how you can help influence future manifesto development.
