Requirements for new homes from 2025

In this lunch and learn, we’ll discover more about the government’s energy efficiency proposals from new homes. We’ll be joined by DLUHC to talk through the proposals and what they mean for the sector.

The Future Homes and Buildings Standard will set energy efficiency requirements in new homes from 2025.

During this lunch and learn exclusive for CIH members, we’ll explore the government’s proposals for the Future Homes and Building Standard, which will set energy efficiency and heating requirements in new homes from 2025. The Future Homes Standard is important for ensuring that the homes we build in the future will be safe, warm, and affordable for residents to live in, as well as aligned with our decarbonisation and climate targets.

We will:

  • Hear directly from government representatives about the Future Homes and Buildings Standard proposals
  • Have the opportunity to ask questions about the proposals, and what they will mean for your own roles
  • Discuss the proposals to shape CIH’s response
  • Develop an understanding of what the proposals will mean for different areas of housing, including decarbonisation, housing supply, and development.

Your speakers:

  • Representative from the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities
