Older People’s Housing 2020/21 – a series of five digital events

Part four of our 2020 virtual conference in partnership with Erosh and sponsored by Alertacall. This conference is being delivered through a series of digital events held over five dates giving you the usual timely high-quality content, but also space for you to digest and reflect between sessions.

Why attend?

The COVID-19 crisis has changed the way we live and work and the sector has stepped-up in ways which have made a massive difference to the lives of older people, their families and carers.  Whilst the pandemic continues, the issues the sector grappled with previously aren’t on pause. We still have an ageing population, real challenges remain around accessible and adaptable housing, older people need to remain connected to their family and wider social networks, and we must also maintain their independence and ensure they feel valued within their community and in wider society.

The fourth session in our 2020/21 Older People’s Housing series of events will focus on the issue of making care fair for older LGBT people; in particular we will explore:

  • the factors influencing the experiences of older LGBT people receiving care
  • some of the key actions needed to ensure that LGBT people have access to and experience high quality care
  • the practical steps housing professionals could take to better understand how services can respond to better meet the needs of LGBT people
  • practical best practice examples

Benefits of attending

  • Hear from and engage directly with expert speakers sharing their insight and knowledge
  • Network with colleagues and speakers throughout the event
