Welcome everyone to the 2024 Scotland Housing Award's Good Practice Compendium - recognising the great work that housing professionals are providing across Scotland.

Over the last year our sector has been contending with consequences of the housing emergency; Rising homelessness, falling build rates, arrears and void levels remain at almost record highs, and while inflation is mercifully low, the cost of living crisis is now just everyday life for tenants.

Therefore with this compendium, we take the opportunity to recognise, learn and consider new ways of working with colleagues across the Scottish housing sector. When faced with a problem you're continually challenging yourselves and this compendium is the must have record of the sector's achievement. There is no better demonstration of the industriousness and innovation of Scotland’s housing professionals.

The award categories reflect the breadth of expertise across the housing sector in Scotland and, I hope, a fitting recognition for the impact you are all making in the housing sector in Scotland. Well done to all our winners and thank you to everyone who submitted entries to help us continue to share the good practice in Scotland.

We want to express a big thank you to all our judges for this year's awards who have given their time voluntarily to support the Scotland Housing Awards and choose our winner's for the categories. It's a big task to read all the entries and to decide on a winner with such fantastic entries.
