Five years on from Grenfell

Today marks the fifth anniversary of the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower in which 72 people lost their lives and many more people were left homeless and traumatised. The terrible consequences of the fire extend far beyond those people who lived at Grenfell - to their families and friends and to the wider community.

The safety of tenants and residents and the homes they live in must be the number one priority for our profession. Five years on from Grenfell there is still much that needs to be done to secure this priority. CIH remains committed to playing our part to make that happen.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of those people who tragically lost their lives, the survivors of the tragedy, and the wider community affected. This must never happen again.
