Candidates for the role of Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) vice president have been announced, and polls have opened for members of the professional body to cast their votes.
This year’s candidates are:
The vice president of CIH plays a crucial role in driving the organisation forward. The nominees for vice president must demonstrate that they can be an effective leader for the housing profession; an inspirational figure for CIH members; comfortable in the public eye and a willing champion for housing issues, driving improvement across the industry.
The candidates have now began campaigning, discussing their manifestos to win the votes of their fellow members.
Every CIH member gets a single vote in the election and the candidate with the most votes will become the vice president. Votes can be cast on the dedicated polling website by 23:59, Monday 21 August 2023.
The winning candidate will work with president-elect Jill Haley during her year in office from our October 2023 annual general meeting (AGM), before going on to become the next CIH president at the AGM in 2024.
