Digital inclusivity for all

We aim to make sure that everything we do is accessible to everyone. Web accessibility is about ensuring a website can be used by people of all abilities and disabilities.

Website accessibility assistive toolbar

Our website has an easy to use accessibility assistive toolbar that can be found at the top of the screen that includes:

  • Screen reader - our screen reader can help you understand our content by reading aloud website text which can be customised to suit you
  • Reading - to simplify your experience, our toolbar provides five main tools; a ruler, screen mask, magnifier, margins, and a dictionary.
  • Styling - change the way our website looks by customising the websites colour, text, font size and spacing
  • Translation - translate our website into over 100 languages and translate it to Welsh using the Cymru language dropdown menu.
More on accessibility
Why is accessibility so important to us?
  • The right thing to do – as part of CIH’s digital strategy, we need to have a digitally inclusive platform where everyone has the opportunity to access our online content.
  • The intelligent thing to do – making our business available to a broader audience and enhancing the user journey will ensure our members and customers have the best experience
  • The thing we must do - CIH comply with several international and regional laws plus many local regulations that stipulate how a website should be designed and built.
