Survey on the skills to deliver Welsh social housing

Chartered Institute of Housing Cymru and PwP Consulting are undertaking a research exercise to scope the potential for a social housing development academi to address the lack of suitably trained and skilled officers in the social housing development sector.

The initiative is a direct response to a growing amount of evidence that our shared ambition to build social housing at the pace and scale needed to deliver 20,000 additional homes at social rent during this Senedd term are being hampered by the lack of skilled personnel, or a combination of the right skills in individuals, within local authority development teams specifically, but the sector more widely across Wales.

The first part of that work is this sector-wide survey of housing professionals working in development roles and teams across Wales. We would very much appreciate your time to respond to the survey and please do pass on to colleagues, partners and stakeholders who you think could add value to the data we are aiming to collect.
