What does a day look like at CIH for you?
No day is the same in my role. I’m one of the remotest colleagues at CIH (in Devon) so most of my time is spent working from my home office, but I do get the chance to meet up regularly with my team and other colleagues at events throughout the year and with daily virtual meetings. In my role, one day I might be writing an article on our upcoming events and on another a new legislation. When I’m not copywriting, I might be fixing broken links on our site, improving our SEO content, or auditing the hundreds of pages of member content on our website. My role is both planned out and reactive – I can’t wait to see what’s next.
What do you love most about CIH?
As someone who lives in rural Devon, I love the fact that I’ve been given the opportunity to work for a national company. Career opportunities don’t come around very often where I’m from – particularly those with good benefits or on ethical work – but working for CIH means I get the best of both worlds - being able to live in my hometown, but also have a career that makes an impact.
