The Homelessness and Social Housing Allocations (Wales) Bill proposes wide ranging changes to the Housing (Wales) Act 2014. Join us as we provide an overview of these changes. 

The Homelessness and Social Housing Allocations (Wales) Bill is proposing wide ranging changes to homelessness legislation in Wales as part of Welsh governments aim to make homelessness in Wales rare, brief and unrepeated. The Senedd’s local government and housing committee stage one scrutiny of the bill is due to close on 20 June and this webinar will be a key opportunity to understand the following:

  • An overview of the general principles of the bill in relation to homelessness
  • The new duties on certain public authorities
  • An overview of the changes proposed to the allocation of social housing.
