The government has announced a range of new planning reforms, to achieve their target of 1.5 million homes in the current parliament. Planning plays a key role in the development of homes, and can also be a barrier to delivery through increased delays.

The proposed changes look to restore the planning system to allow for boosted development and a more efficient process.
