When working in the housing sector you can find things fast moving and hard to keep up with the best practice in the industry. With the new Social Housing Regulation Bill some housing professionals working in England are required to have a certain level of qualification, and we're seeing professionalism being addressed in all nations. This library is designed to help those looking for an overview of working in the industry through to those studying and learning more about how to be a better housing professional.

The CIH professional standards build on seven characteristics developed, tested, and refined to enable you to think about your professional development needs and how you can contribute to the professionalism of your organisation and the wider sector. They're relevant for everyone who works in housing, whatever your role or specialism. The seven characteristics are integrity, inclusive, ethical, knowledgeable, skilled, advocate and leadership.
