Aine McGaley | Director of housing and resident services designate
The CIH events are extremely valuable and educational for all areas of housing. My team and I really enjoy the variety that is available and see it as an opportunity to gain more knowledge on what is happening across the sector, in both Ireland and the UK. The events are also a great way to network and share ideas with others.
The new self-assessment tool is built around the seven professional standards characteristics and is relevant for everyone who works in housing, whatever your role or specialism. Designed to help you reflect on your career journey, identify key strengths, and highlight a clear path for further development.
As a CIH member, you have access to the full version of the tool, which provides you with a detailed progress report and unlocks tailored resources specific to your requirements.
Mentoring is widely recognised as one of the most effective ways in which you can develop. Our mentoring scheme is a voluntary relationship between a mentor and a mentee, set for one year (maximum).
Through the mentoring partnership, you'll be able to set goals and objectives. You'll develop your career, build confidence, gain knowledge, learn new skills and build strong relationships with other professionals.
