CIH pay tribute to Steve Douglas

CIH are deeply saddened to hear about the sudden passing of Steve Douglas. St Mungo’s CEO died suddenly at his home on Sunday morning, aged 57.

CIH’s Chief Executive Gavin Smart paid tribute to Steve commenting:

Steve was a hugely influential figure in housing across the course of his career. He was also a kind and supportive colleague as I know from personal experience - his kindness was always tempered by a determination to help you to get the best out of yourself. I benefited from Steve's advice as I know others did too. He was a passionate advocate for the housing and homelessness sectors and a determined champion for greater sector diversity. To say that he will be hugely missed does no justice to his contribution. My thoughts are with Steve's family, friends, and colleagues at this time, and I send my heartfelt condolences.
