13 Mar 2020
We have taken the decision to reschedule Total Housing 2020 from 25-26 March to 2-3 September. It’s not a decision we have taken lightly, and I would like to explain our reasons why.
We have been monitoring the coronavirus advice and situation like everyone else. We are following government advice but we must also take a pragmatic and thoughtful approach that respects your safety.
We are disappointed at having to postpone what was on track to be a very successful event, but we feel this is the responsible course under the circumstances.
We have all heard how some colleagues in the housing sector are understandably starting to scale back on non-urgent external meetings. No-one knows how the situation will develop over the coming weeks, but it is not unreasonable to expect there will be more cases before the outbreak peaks and starts to subside.
Given the vital work that housing professionals do, including supporting some of our most vulnerable fellow-citizens, we don’t think it’s right to take any risk at all that might impact on your ability to serve your communities.
I am sure you share our disappointment but agree this is the right thing to do under the circumstances.
We have rescheduled the conference to 2-3 September, and I look forward to welcoming you all to Brighton for Total Housing 2020. All delegate, sponsor and exhibitor bookings will be transferred. If you have any questions, please contact CIH’s events team on 024 7685 1722.
