This eLearning module will focus on inclusive, aiming to help you decode its meaning and significance in practice.

We will explore the six core elements of this characteristic (unconscious bias; perspective; inclusive; collaboration; challenge; holistic), unpacking the meaning of inclusivity to help you unfold factors that impact your decisions and attitudes, as well as identify and overcome barriers.

It will guide you in advocating inclusive and collaborative behaviours and challenge non-inclusive approaches.

What will I learn?

This eLearning module will:

  • Understand what inclusive and non-inclusive approaches mean in the professional context, considering cultural factors that can help/hamper change

  • Decode conscious and unconscious factors affecting performance and recognise how these can influence and impact decisions and professional judgement

  • Identify key pathways to support inclusion in the organisation, as well as with customers and stakeholders

  • Develop an awareness and sensitivity to diverse cultures and beliefs

  • Promote a collaborative approach across organisational boundaries, cross functional teams and cultures

  • Engage with a range of techniques, perspectives and approaches to deliver better outcomes and services

  • Foster an open environment as groups and communities

  • Apply techniques to challenge negative cultural stereotyping and non-inclusive behaviour

  • Identify barriers to inclusion and delivering inclusive services

  • Empower your teams to create safe spaces and inclusive environments in teams, across the organisation and with residents.

How will I learn?

This eLearning module is interactive and includes videos, case studies and real-life examples where you can test yourself, download information, reflect and go into as much detail as is right for you.

You will be faced with a range of tasks, scenarios and activities to critically reflect on your behaviours and assumptions; and you will be provided with a series of examples and techniques to inform yours and your colleagues’ practice to support you challenge non-inclusive behaviours and to develop collaborative approaches in teams and your organisation.
