This eLearning module will focus on knowledgeable and provide insight into the scope, expertise, competencies and skills needed to perform in your role and understand the bigger picture.

We will explore the six core elements of this characteristic (comprehensive; contextual understanding; currency; self-aware; reflective practice and sharing), reflecting on how they are relevant to you and how they can be put into practice.

Various activities and examples will lead you to self-reflect on your performance in order to pinpoint gaps and opportunities to further develop to achieve essential expertise and skills; to highlight what your role in the wider organisation stands for.

What will I learn?

This eLearning module will:

  • Understand in more depth the general and specialist knowledge and skills that you need to do your job

  • Identify the right skills to work efficiently through your own experiences, knowledge and training

  • Be better prepared to ensure you/your colleagues are always ready to meet new regulatory framework changes relevant to your nation

  • Gain a deeper understanding of your role/your team, the purpose and function of your organisation as a whole and drive change in your organisation to implement new ways of working

  • Understand the importance of keeping up to date with and staying aware of current issues, trends and changes in policy and best practice

  • Identify gaps or limitations in your/your colleagues’ skills and knowledge to ensure you can build, maintain and learn new competencies and expertise

  • Assess different ways to apply knowledge to benefit customers, colleagues and your organisation.

This module is interactive and includes videos, case studies and real-life examples where you can test yourself, download information, reflect and go into as much detail as is right for you.
