The professional standards eLearning modules

After completing the professional standards self-assessment and identifying areas for growth, our eLearning modules are here to help.

These modules are suitable for all levels of housing professionals. Each self-directed, interactive module covers a specific CIH professional standard, along with an introductory module on professionalism.

These modules include videos, case studies, and interactive activities, allowing you to test your knowledge, download resources, and reflect in depth at your own pace. Modules typically take around 45 minutes to complete, but you can dedicate more time to tasks as you wish.

Through tasks and scenarios, you'll explore new techniques, examine your behaviors, and develop skills for personal and professional growth.

Upon finishing each module, you’ll receive a certificate of completion, adding valuable progress to your CPD journey.

Janine Green | ASB trainer and consultant, Janine Green ASB

The mix of exercises and videos would make it appeal to all learner types. It was clear what I needed to do and the system seems very intuitive. The concepts were very well explained, and it made me consider how the principles apply to me and my role. I liked the inclusion of considering things like self-care and how this impacts on my work. I think it would make a real difference to how an officer undertakes their role

Martyn Hale | Neighbourhoods director, Trent & Dove Housing Ltd

The module was easy to navigate and well structured, the learning logical and well-paced. The introductory film was helpful and a good informative piece. It made me appreciate the importance of integrity both individually and organisationally. Given the publication of the joint CIH/NHF report on Better Social Housing, the timing of our approach to standards and training is important, as one of the seven recommendations focuses on the professionalism of the role of a housing officer, integrity is key to this
