About us

Sysco is a leading training provider based in the North West with over 15 years of experience in delivering training and consultancy in a wide variety of sectors. Sysco work in partnership with CIH and together we're committed to supporting housing professionals to create a future in which everyone has a place to call home. We have successfully delivered Chartered Institute of Housing qualifications at levels two, three, and four since 2011, providing training to hundreds of individuals.

Sysco was the first training provider to submit apprentices through the gateway for end-point assessment with CIH in February 2018. Our apprenticeship success rates exceed the national averages for our provider type and in the overall classification.

Sysco offers both standalone qualification or the option of an apprenticeship programme for all levels of housing professionals, which focus on learning in the workplace including a programme of learning, a regulated housing qualification, and a work-based project that brings real value to you, your customers and your organisation. Apprenticeships are available at three different levels and are linked directly to job roles and responsibilities.

Qualifications offered:

Level 2
CIH Level 2 Certificate in Housing Practice

This qualification provides a general introduction to the housing sector and introduce you to some of the skills and knowledge necessary to participate in housing related activities.

Suitable for:

  • Anyone new to housing or work in a frontline position and want to improve their general awareness of housing or get their initial qualification.
  • Anyone not currently working in housing but are considering a frontline housing position as a career option.
  • Tenants, residents and board members wishing to enhance their personal involvement and understanding of housing.
  • Anyone working in housing who wants to gain an initial qualification in housing.

Level 3
CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing Practice

The qualification will provide you with the technical knowledge and understanding across a broad range of frontline housing practices at an operational level. The qualification explores general and specialist areas of housing along with housing policy and law.

Who is this qualification for?

  • Anyone working in a frontline capacity in a wide range of housing and housing related roles
  • Anyone who already have a level 2 qualification and/or experience of working in housing

CIH Level 4 Certificate in Housing

This qualification will provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to face the current challenges in housing, covering key aspects of housing policy and law.

Who is this qualification for?

You can enrol onto this qualification if you:

  • working or resident in the UK and Ireland
  • in or aspiring to a supervisory or management role in housing
  • already have a level 3 qualification and/or experience of working in housing, preferably at a supervisory/management level
