A housing election?

Hear from CIH chief executive, Gavin Smart, and Ben Marshall, from IpsosMori, on the prospects for the general election, where housing will feature and what CIH will be doing to inform the debate.

The announcement of a general election for 4 July surprised many politicians and observers alike. Over the next six weeks political parties will make their case to the country. Where will housing feature in the campaign? Join Gavin Smart and the CIH public affairs team as they talk you through what we know, what we think we know, and why CIH believes our ten-point plan can fix the housing crisis.

We will:

  • Outline what we know about the main party positions on housing and CIH’s 10 point plan for housing
  • Hear from Ben on voter attitudes towards housing
  • Discuss how you can get involved in the debate

Your speakers:

  • Gavin Smart, CEO of Chartered Institute of Housing
  • Ben Marshall, research director at Ipsos
  • Rachael Williamson, head of policy and external affairs (England)
  • Chair: James Prestwich, UK director of policy and external affairs
