The new Future Homes Standard should ensure that all new homes built from 2025 will produce 75-80 per cent less carbon emissions than homes delivered under current regulations. Preventing Refugee and Migrant Homelessness

This session will look at what government, local authorities, housing associations and charities are doing to help prevent refugees, asylum seekers, migrants, and those with no recourse to public funds (NRPF) from becoming homeless.

The past decade has seen a number of conflicts that have triggered humanitarian and refugee crisis across the world. Many Syrian, Afghani and Ukrainian refugees have arrived in the UK and Ireland seeking safety. The arrival of refugees brings with it challenges for housing providers to identify safe and secure accommodation for those fleeing their homeplace.
